Shunsuke Kikuchi-Masked Rider OST-CX 7198 Nippon Columbia-1971 Anime Psych Grail

No this isn't the new Daft Punk record, it's the new power rangers acid rock record.  This is probably the most sought after anime/metal heroes soundtrack and for very good reason.  This is the first in a series of I think 4 and it's the best one.  All are done by prolific anime composer Shunsuke Kikuchi (Hurricane Polymer, Babel, Grendizer, Getter Robo,Tosho Daimos) who has a very recognizable 60's psych sound.  The tones and ideas in this thing are just perfection, amazing early Floyd sound with downtempo beats, spy horns, and insane fuzz guitar.  So many good jams on here, so make sure to jam all of it!  Wouldn't it just be the greatest crap ever if you rolled into a club just to find a few dudes dressed like masked insects shredding this kind of stuff.  Please enjoy my rip from my personal collection @320K.

Akira Kushida "Space Sheriff Shaider" 1984 Columia CX 7181 My Rip @320K Shigi Shigi!

Space Sheriff Shaider was a television series that aired from 1984 till 1985 and was the last of the Space Sheriff series.  More Importantly though, this record contains of the best Metal Hero jams ever, "Fushigi Song".  Some super creepy vocals mixed with some dark ass funk.  It also has that chorus synth that always reminds me of Fabio Frizzi's The Beyond Soundtrack.  There are definitely some more dope ass funky jams on here as well and of course, the Cheese. So check out some more Japanese Funk ripped from my own collection @320K.  Thanks, Chris Tillotson

Go Misawa "Devilman" OST- Nippon Columbia CX-7088 1972 FUzzed Out Anime Grail!

Totally psyched out Anime record by Go Misawa and my favorite cover art from the series.  All the dope elements are here, creepy fuzz, funky drums, and super drugged out production.  So many great jams it's pretty unbelievable.  And yes this one is pretty damn rare and pricey too, blah blah blah.  And please someone give this devilbro a bandaid, he's bleeding for godsakes!  From my personal collection ripped @320K  Merry Christmas!  Thanks for tuning in, Chris Tillotson

Yuji Ohno "Catain Future" OST Columbia CQ-7028 1979 ripped @320K Cosmic Jazz Funk Anime Grail!

Yuji Ohno is probably best known for his many amazing Lupin III soundtracks.  Many people consider this record to be his finest moment though.  Total cosmic jazz funk here reminding me of Piero Piccioni's sound in the late 70's and early 80's.  The only difference is the outer space synth passages that are totally stoned out and other worldy.  My favorite jam from this soundtrack is not even on this record which is crazy, how did it not make the cut! But I have included it as a bonus song in the folder.  This record is one of the rarest anime records out there and can fetch very high prices.  It can definitely take you to outer space lands so I hope you let it.  From my personal collection ripped @320K, enjoy!  Thanks, Chris Tillotson              GET IT HERE!

Hiromasa Suzuki "Umi No Triton" OST Nippon Columbia CQ-7027 1979 RIP@320K Fuzzy Funky Grail!

Wow this thing shreds!  This is the record every seems to want from anime and for good reason, fuzz, funk and dope breaks.  The TV show aired from 1971 to 1972 but IMDB credits a movie from 1979.  I don't know if this music was made for the series or just the later movie.  The record is dated 1979 but these BGM records were known to come out long after the series aired.  That is the most ridiculous cover art too, I wonder how many people passed on this record thinking it was just a weak kiddy record.  This ain't no little kid music, no, this dolphin ridin boy loves his acid and heavy beats of course.  So enjoy this holy grail from my personal collection and please leave a comment.  Rip @320K       Thanks, Chris Tillotson

Chimei Watanabe "Battle Fever J" OST 1979 Columbia CX-7183 Anime Funk Grail!

Highly sought after japanese record here from Chimei Watanabe. Nothing too weird, just great funk music! Endless beats and stabs perfectly on point.  Battle Fever J was the third entry in the "Super Sentai" series franchise, which aired from 1979 to 1980 and is very similiar to the power rangers or something.  They might have battle fever but this gives me dance fever and that cover, yes! So enjoy another from my personal collection @320K and don't forget to leave a comment, if you dig. Chris Tillotson                   GET IT HERE!

Masato Shimon "Brave Raideen" OST- BGM Columbia CX-7003 Rip@320K Japanese Anime Psych Funk

Amazing unkown rare record here, tons of funk beats, brass and balls, all done with a spy chase vibe.  All these Nippon Columbia BGM records were made so well, with thick cardboard, full detailed inserts and heavy vinyl, it's hard to believe any of their quality being less than VG+, even 30 years later.  Luckily most of mine still have the OBI strip still attached as well, because the advertisements on the back have become a sort of wish list for me.  I've still seen some ridiculously low prices on this record, so if you see one, swoop it up while you still can!  From my personal collection rip@320K Enjoy! Uchuu Keiji Gyaban "Space Sheriff Gaven" 1982 Columbia CX-7072 Essential Anime Funk

So I guess I'll start with this guy.  The thing with these BGM's is, they have around 50 songs on them, which makes them an inconsistent listen but if you dig through them, you will be rewarded.  The stuff on here is crazy good, at least 10 dope jams.  Dark hip-hop beats and electronic sfx galore.  So don't be fooled, this Space Sheriff came to slay.  From my personal collection rip @320K.  Chris Tillotson      GET IT HERE!
