Rubba(Jacky Giordano,J.Saunders & Various)-DWSLP 3428-In Motion-De Wolfe-1980 COSMIC FLOYD!

This is my favorite Giordano release on De Wolfe, yes even more than "Play It Again".  But maybe that's because Pink Floyd is one of my most beloved bands.  This record is just a perfect balance between what I grew up on and what I've grown to love as an adult.  Giordano and his pals J.Saunders and others are setting the controls for the heart of the sun and very successful at it too.  They get very spacious, melodic and epic with synths, drums, bass, and guitar.  And no progressive album would be complete without guitar solos which there are definitely plentiful.  So many great jams on here, it's quite mindblowing if this is your thing.  So go get the brownies and let the good times roll!  Enjoy my rip @320K from my personal collection and please don't repost my rips as your own, much money and time go into these posts and if you would like to share my rips of these great records a link to my blog, I find as sufficient respect.   GET IT HERE!

Watch me and the other Starving Daughters covering "Dove Vai Il Mondo" in Echo Park last weekend

If you don't know I also play lead guitar in an instrumental psych band, that's me on the far right.  Here we're playing a cover of my favorite Piero Umiliani song, "Dove Vai Il Mondo".  And also under that us doing a cover of fugue in D Minor (Egg Version) We aren't a cover band but it definitely feels good to play songs from greater composers than ourselves.
BTW we only have a few copies left of our vinyl double LP pressed in only 100 copies, if you're interested.

Shunsuke Kikuchi-Masked Rider OST-CX 7198 Nippon Columbia-1971 Anime Psych Grail

No this isn't the new Daft Punk record, it's the new power rangers acid rock record.  This is probably the most sought after anime/metal heroes soundtrack and for very good reason.  This is the first in a series of I think 4 and it's the best one.  All are done by prolific anime composer Shunsuke Kikuchi (Hurricane Polymer, Babel, Grendizer, Getter Robo,Tosho Daimos) who has a very recognizable 60's psych sound.  The tones and ideas in this thing are just perfection, amazing early Floyd sound with downtempo beats, spy horns, and insane fuzz guitar.  So many good jams on here, so make sure to jam all of it!  Wouldn't it just be the greatest crap ever if you rolled into a club just to find a few dudes dressed like masked insects shredding this kind of stuff.  Please enjoy my rip from my personal collection @320K.

Bob Callaghan & Co "Il Gabbiano Infelice" SM 3426 Joker- Italy 1972 Moog!

Having to drop hella cash on overly expensive rare records is usually a necessity if you want to hear the good stuff but it is nice when you can pick up gems like this for pretty much dollar bin prices.  I just love all these moog exploitation records.  This one is by Bob Callaghan & Co doing covers of popular songs of the time and a couple Alberto Baldan Bembo jams off his great Arp Synthesizer Record.  "Noi Due Nel Mondo E Nell'Anima" is such an amazing jam, oh my god those chord changes!  It was originally done by Italian band "Pooh"hahaa and pooh my pants I almost did when I heard it.  There also a dope cover of Kingsley's "Popcorn" and the beautiful Bembo songs, "Penny" & "My Intermezzo"  All in all very solid listen all the way through, how can you not enjoy this kind of shit!  Enjoy from my personal collection ripped @320K.
