Yuji Ohno "Catain Future" OST Columbia CQ-7028 1979 ripped @320K Cosmic Jazz Funk Anime Grail!
Yuji Ohno is probably best known for his many amazing Lupin III soundtracks. Many people consider this record to be his finest moment though. Total cosmic jazz funk here reminding me of Piero Piccioni's sound in the late 70's and early 80's. The only difference is the outer space synth passages that are totally stoned out and other worldy. My favorite jam from this soundtrack is not even on this record which is crazy, how did it not make the cut! But I have included it as a bonus song in the folder. This record is one of the rarest anime records out there and can fetch very high prices. It can definitely take you to outer space lands so I hope you let it. From my personal collection ripped @320K, enjoy! Thanks, Chris Tillotson GET IT HERE!
Nice! I know the Christian Bruhn soundtrack for the german version but not this. Has the original Japanese version of the series ever been released on DVD I wonder?
I don't know if it has been released on DVD as I've never seen any of these anime movies. I do have 1 Christian Bruhn soundtrack, "Timm Thaler" OST, and it sounds kinda similiar to this but more floydy so it would make sense that he did the german version.
and yet once again you have popped my eyes open pricked up my ears and permeated my heart with a hitherto uncharted portal into this galactic anime funk
Haha glad to hear you've been portaled into galactic anime funk, it is a nice place to visit. Thanks for all your comments Bud, most people download and bounce but it is nice to hear feedback.
A-WE-SOME. Was looking for some lossless and found your release! Good rip from the vinyl record!! Sommetimes level is little to high and start to get dostorted but it's compensate by the add of a a bonus track!! DEfinitly going to buy tyhe CD to end the struggle to find a lossless realease. Thx again for sharing this!
One of the best anime ost I've ever heard.
