Vladimir Cosma "Musique Dramatique Et Nostalgique" Patchwork Orchestra 3-1972 Essential Library!

Unbelievable work here by Vladimir Cosma & Michel Berholc on this early Patchwork Library record.  Fuzz Guitar, Jazz Drums, and Brass all done in a dark spy chase vibe.  There are also some very beautiful moments here like the breezy, " Avec Un Certain Sourire".  Cosma's style has always reminded me heavily of Francois De Roubaix who happens to be one of my favorites so of course I like him a lot.   This record needs to be heard in its entirety and it's probably the best thing I've heard from Cosma.  So check the soundclips and enjoy from my personal collection ripped @320K.  Thanks, Chris Tillotson               GET IT HERE!

  1. Great post Chris, Cosma is a monster, he is mostly known for his comedy music and it's great to hear him doing more funky brassy stuff. I just downloaded a rip from the library forum and I was listening to this when I saw you posted a rip from your own collection. :)

    1. This is my favorite patchwork as well, Cosma also did a couple others Patchwork 29 being one of them. Most of the ones I heard are pretty dope electronic records but not like this one. Maybe an expert on Patchwork can chime in.

  6. Dear Chris,
Thanks for sharing such a great album.
My hero in composition is "Ted Scotto". Ironically, his compositions are presented on the second LP of this series."Patchwork Orchestra 2 ".
    Have you got this album?

    Thanks.

  7. Hi, just to tell you that most of the music in this LP is used in a french tv series of 1972 called 'Tang', a kind of FuManchu story set in the seventies with the russian actor Valery Inkijinoff!
