Franco Micalizzi "Laure" Original Acetate Vinyl Rip 320K

Ok, well here is a blog exclusive, the original acetate for the soundtrack, "Laure", by Franco Micalizzi.  I saw this on ebay and couldn't believe it, not only is the actual release so rare that i've never seen it, but the original acetate, holy shit.  For those that aren't familiar with the term acetate, from wikipedia, "Unlike ordinary vinyl records, which are quickly formed from lumps of plastic by a mass-production molding process, a so-called acetate disc is created by using a recording lathe to cut an audio-signal-modulated groove into the surface of a special laquer-coated blank disc, a real-time operation requiring expensive, delicate equipment and expert skill for good results.  They are made for special purposes, almost never for sale to the general public.  They can be played on any normal record player but will suffer from wear more quickly than vinyl.  Some Acetates are  highly prized for their rarity, especially when they contain unpublished material."
I don't know if this was used for the final pressings or as demos, but I can tell you the sound is impeccable and the dope jams are on here.   As for the music, Micalizzi sounds uncharateristically like, Jean Claude Vannier & Serge Gainsbourg records, which i would consider, chilled out psych funk.  So check the amazing soundtrack to this Italian porno movie, from my personal collection, Enjoy!  Get It Here!

Harley Toberman "Thoughts In Time" Production EFX Library EL 106 1982 320K

I just picked this up, so i thought i would post it, as i don't think anyone else has yet.   It's a pretty sick record that was privately released by Harley Toberman in 1982.  This is his 6th and final Record in the series and seems to be his only one that actually contains music, but i could be wrong. The message on the back reads, "people said my music wasn't commercial and i guess that's true, cause i could never sell any of it".  So i guess he decided to make library albums because his music was more visual, which makes a whole lot of sense.  The songs are extremely varied, from electronic tinkering, to full drum jamming and he says they span many years of late nights with friends.  Apparently Cut Chemist sampled a song from here as well.  So, check these tracks, and props to Harley Toberman for doing his own thing.  Enjoy!  Chris Tillotson

Braen's Machine (Alessandroni & De Filippi) "Temi Ritmici E Dinamici" Liuto 197? 320K

This is probably my favourite record i own, it's very special to me.  I downloaded this from somewhere a while back and totally fell in love with it. I searched. what seemed like forever and finally found it.  Braen's Machine on this album is a pseudonym for either Giolamo Ugolini or Alessandro Alessandroni and Awake(Rino De Filippi).  I feel like there was a bunch of controversy over who had a hand in these compositions but for me I have to go by my ears.  Yes Awake is only credited to the second half of this masterpiece but come on just listen to the odd timing harpsichord stabs, jazzy chord changes, you can't tell me Filippi didn't have a hand in side A.  Also Alessandroni is in my opinion (which ain't worth shit) also a main contributer, not only did they record numerous records together, including Underground  but this record is Braen's Machine, not Ugolini's machine, I'm just saying.   A major departure from their previous record, "Underground", instead of  psych fuzz, we get a laid back funk album. Supposedly, this album was used for some Italian television sports broadcasts.  I have to say, the standout for me is the bass playing, it is so incredible, i couldn't imagine ever coming up with that kind of melodic and rhythmic magic.  The drums for both Braen's Machine albums are very distinct, super compressed and driving, i really dig it.   So as "Underground" just melts my brain, this album just makes me feel very happy, and i'll take some happiness any day. From my personal collection, Enjoy!            GET IT HERE!

Alberto Baldan Bembo "The Soul of Ali Ben Djamballa" 1974 320K

I haven't seen this movie, but i think it's about a hot naked black girl cruisin around, jammin dope, funk jams.  Seriously though, this is one bad ass record from start to finish.  There is more synth here than "Codice" or "Lingua", which maybe goes more with his "Arp" and Chappell ouput, but the sound is still unmistakenly Bembo.  You can still expect to find, incredible drumming, bass playing and song writing.  So Enjoy another holy grail from my personal collection, at 320K. Alberto Baldan Bembo "Codice d' Amore Orientale" 1974 320K

Another Phenomenal record from Alberto Baldan Bembo.  He recorded this under the name Blue Marvin Orchestra, along with the Arp Sinthesyzer 2600 record.  Contained here is the psych juggernaut, "Kamasutra", which might be the heaviest song about spiritual love making I've ever heard.  The rest of the album is pretty much all killer no filler, with some nice, jazzy guitar shredding going on throughout.  Unfortunately, the copy i own has a little bit of water damage to it, which resulted in a sort of buzz on a couple of the tracks, but until i can afford to buy a nice minty copy, this is what i got.  So, please enjoy another grail from my personal collection at 320K.  Chris Tillotson Get It Here!

Alberto Baldan Bembo "Lingua D'Argento" 1976 320K

Here it is, one of my favorite italian soundtracks from the groove master, Alberto Baldan Bembo.  This is the actual vinyl rip, not the "Smart Set" rip, from Easy Tempo.   This album is incredibly rare, and prices can reach very high.  There are songs here that aren't on the smartset rips, so don't miss this chance to get the real deal.  As for the music, holy shit this thing is killer.  So many great songs, filled with perfect bass, strings and drumbeats for any producer to sample.  Like you would expect from any italian composer, the songwriting is just beautiful and keeps your attention from start to finish.  So check these porno grooves out from my personal collection at 320K.  Enjoy! Chappell CHA series Best of Compilation-42 Songs

Alright so these are my favourite jams from the CHA series compiled into 1 folder of 42 songs.   These playlists are pretty popular with my friends that trust my taste, so they don't have to dig through all the sometimes hundreds of albums (Ennio Morricone) to get to the goods.  So, as I'll continue doing, here is my first completist playlist, which should give you a pretty good representation of what you'll  find with the CHA series.  I do this out of love, but if you dig please leave a comment, I'm sure it will make me feel good.
